Nemours is seeking a Academic General Pediatrician to join our team in Wilmington, DE.
Our Academic General Pediatrics group, which includes seven General Pediatricians, and one Nurse Practitioner, is housed within the Division of General Pediatrics, which also includes Academic Pediatric Hospitalists and Child Abuse specialists.
Primary clinical responsibilities include outpatient clinic and precepting of residents and medical students. Additionally, our practice specializes in Children with Medical Complexity, Foster Care, and some specialty clinics. There is the possibility of inpatient service time depending on the applicant’s interest. Weekend coverage is an expectation and commensurate with full-time or part-time status. Nursery coverage may be needed depending on the needs of the Department.
Applicants must be BC/BE in Pediatrics and should be skilled at managing a broad spectrum of acute and chronic illnesses including technology-dependent children from newborns to adulthood. Our division also engages in academic pursuits, including education of our pediatric residents and medical students, research, advocacy, and participation in quality improvement.
