As part of the Nemours Center for Health Delivery Innovation, the Consumer Digital Health team is developing the digital “front door” for Nemours. Pushing care into the hands of families with our vision of Nemours, anytime, anywhere, we are providing a frictionless, personalized digital experience for patient families that meets their needs on their terms. The team utilizes design thinking and agile methodologies as it integrates existing Nemours digital tools into a new interface for families.
This position will be responsible for the manual and automated testing of functionality for the Nemours app using tools and languages such as Selenium, Cucumber, Ruby, Bamboo, iOS xTest and Espresso UI Testing Frameworks.
This engineer will be passionate about the craft of quality assurance in an agile software development environment, supporting Continuous Integration and use of Deployment scripts, through helping developers with Test Driven Development (TDD) and leading efforts for Automated Testing.
Participate in SCRUM methodology related ceremonies (daily stand-ups, design reviews, retrospectives, etc).
Collaborating with visual designers, developers, and product owners to define product experience and champion the user.
Work in partnership with team members to brainstorm about technical design/architecture decisions.
o Bachelor's Degree required.
o Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years' experience required.
o Extensive technical skill and knowledge of application development.
o Excellent interpersonal/communications skills with the ability to interact effectively with team members and members of other departments. Ability to work in a fast paced / dynamic team environment and possess time management skills to meet schedules.
o Excellent organizational skills – developing workload for each sprint writing / clarifying stories, dividing stories into appropriate tasks, time estimation for tasks, team capacity planning.
o 3+ years of professional manual and automation testing work experience.
o Experience testing hybrid applications.
o Working knowledge of Selenium, Cucumber, Ruby, Bamboo and iOS xTest and Espresso UI Testing Frameworks.
o Familiar with continuous integration and continuous deployment techniques and technologies.
o Experience with test driven development (TDD) and automated testing.
o Experience working in an Agile and Scrum environment.
o Familiarity with user-centered design.
